The Highlights and Slip Ups at the LSA’s
[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Fareshte Aslam talks about some of her most memorable moments
“It was an extremely proud moment to see Nirma and Humayun Saeed dancing to ‘garhi to chalana babu’ during the first ever LSA night back in 2002. A huge vintage car was a part of the act which didn’t work so it had to be pushed on the stage!”
Ali zafar’s performace on “chal dil merey” during the LSAs that were held in Dubai in 2004 was amazing. He had just broken into the scene with his album Huqa Pani, which was a great success. “He performed in a powder blue suit. I still remember that act vividly”.
Atif Aslam’s 2013 performace in Lahore. was brilliant. He performed on 4 songs – Be Inteha, Allah Duhaai, Insha Jee Utho and Tera honay laga hoon. Amina Shiekh and Humaima Malick were part of the act as well but this one is particularly special for me because my son, Aryan, also performed in it.
On the 2005 awards night, Ali Azmat was performing but didn’t show up on time and we had to start the show without him. We had to record his medley later to air it.
In the 2007 LSAs, Reema had to jump through a hoop for her performance and her dress got stuck. Ali Zafar somehow improvised and twirled her around and handled the situation.
Iman Ali and Shaan fighting on stage when Shaoib Mansoor won an award for Khuda Ke Liye in 2008. “Shaan went on and on about him, debating whether he is a good guy or bad guy and Iman couldn’t take it so she spoke up for him”. While Shaan said it is difficult to work with him as an actor, he doesn’t give food breaks and that he ‘used’ Pakistan as a launch pad to go to India, Iman exclaimed “well, he is bigger than the budget and the food” before walking off the stage.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
