Mahira dedicates win to her Dad & Faisal Qureshi remembers the struggle of Kashmiris

In her typical poufy larger than life princess dress designed by Shahira Lasheen, Mahira arrived with an entourage on the redcarpet bigger than the Lux audience for the last 10 years. It was a good thing she won the best TV actress award or the excessive drama that followed her entrance wouldn’t have been well- justified. She narrated a cutesy story about her dad who waits for her every night and screams at her when she comes late from a show or premiere. Tonight, he sat in the crowd despite the late hours of the night and enjoyed his daughter winning such a prestigious award.

When Faisal Qureshi won for Best TV actor, he used his acceptance speech to highlight the plight of the Kashmiris and the audience clapped on in support. Both Mahira & Faisal were handed the awards by Fahad Mustafa and Sarwat Gillani.
